Jewel joined the DreamTime Equestrian family in the Spring of 2023 after an extensive search for a broodmare to restart our breeding program. With an extensive competition background in eventing in Canada and the United States, and some experience on the local hunter/jumper circuit, an injury sidelined this talented mare. Jewel is a very amateur friendly, athletic Canadian Warmblood mare. Sired by Routinier, an Oldenburg who competed extensively in dressage at the FEI Prix St. Georges level, Jewel's sire line extends back to the foundational stallion Rubinstein I. These incredible bloodlines provided Jewel with a daisy-cutter trot and a smooth, long-strided canter.
Jewel's dam, Regal Doolittle (Regal Remark x Eliza Anne by Winning Hit xx), comes from a line of Thoroughbreds with great success in both the racing and sport horse industries. Her dam line extends back to the greats of racing, including Northern Dancer. Many of Jewel's Thoroughbred relatives retired from racing and went on to have successful careers in showjumping and have proven to be amateur friendly competition mounts.
In the Summer of 2024, Jewel produced a beautiful bay colt by Salvatore. We are very excited for our future with Jewel and the return of the DreamTime Equestrian breeding program!
